BIOGRAPHY
Natural Musician
Angela started music at the tender age of 4, and gradually progressed on to the violin. She has achieved a Distinction in the Licentiate of Trinity College of Music (LTCL) and Associate of Trinity College of Music in piano and violin. She was also a finalist at the 2nd ASEAN Chopin International Piano Competition (Junior High School Category) in 2006.
After finishing 3rd in the Piano Junior Category at the 2001 National Piano Competition, Angela had the honor of seeing one of her compositions “The Run of the Little Camels”, being performed live at the 2002 International Junior Original Concert in Tokyo, Japan. She was then invited to perform with Abigail Sin and the Silver-Garburg Duo at the University Cultural Center. In 2007, she helped raise funds for the Straits Times Pocket Money Fund for needy children by performing for ChildAid together with her brother, Jonathan Lim Guan Rong.
Angela has kept herself active in music scene by joining the Singapore National Youth Orchestra as well as being concert mistress in Singapore Institute of Management’s String Ensemble for one of their concerts. She believes in the quote ' Music is an art that goes straight to the ears, directly into the heart'.
